FRENCH COMPANY FINANCING ZUCKER’S “AMERICAN CAROL”

This movie looks hilarious! If it’s as good as the trailer, Kevin Farley could become a major star. Curiously, Mr. Zucker’s brother Jerry (Ghost) and Jim Abrahams (Hot Shots) are not involved. Good riddance! With this film, David will prove that he was the comedy genius behind the trio’s success and leave them in the dust.

That said, one thing about this project feels very, very wrong. At first, I thought the suits in Hollywood had finally pulled their heads out of their asses and put some serious money behind a movie that caters to the tastes of real Americans. Then I looked closer and realized that the movie is financed by Vivendi, which is a FRENCH COMPANY. Et tu, David? Are dollars so scarce that you had to go out and get a Eurobudget from quiche-eating surrender monkeys? Should we expect an original score recorded by the Tehran Symphony? Seriously, what the f**k?

  • You, sir, are a misguided knucklehead.

  • Oh good gowd, lets put this idiocy to rest. The Vichy government was weak, and surrendered. The French people were not. Ever heard of a little thing called the French Resistance? The people fought tooth and nail and never gave an inch. Just like I would if the United States was attacked and occupied. Would you have my back, or would you be a collaborator? (I think I know the answer to that question.)

And by the way - if the French are so weak and pathetic, how come all of our military ranks are derived from French words?

    Are you serious…?

This lame subversion makes me ashamed that YOU are black. I guess you went through your formative years wishing you weren’t black. That could be the only thing that explains this blog.

  • Great satire. Your site looks hilarious! If this post is any indication, you will become a major star in the blogosphere. With this site, you will leave the likes of the Onion and Jon Swift in the proverbial dust. That being said, something about this post feels very, very wrong - like you are for real or something. Seriously, whiskey tango foxtrot?

  • Real Americans? You mean all 23% of you? Oh, ok.

Perhaps the French, who loved Jerry Lewis’ antics, were the only ones who could get a chuckle out of this crap (oddly enough the one country which had the most positive influence in the development of the US from the French Revolution to the Louisiana Purchase).

I’d be willing to bet the first weekend’s box office takings that this movie will be on DVD by Christmas to offset theater losses.

  • quiche-eating surrender monkeys? After that no wonder no one comments here, no one reads your crap. I got the link from C&L, they posted it for a laugh.

They posted a quote from JC Watts’ father that is so true.

“A black man voting for a Republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders”

  • That movie looks great!!! Thanks for staying on top of the situation.

  • The ironic thing is, the French have a better and more sympathetic view of the plight of the average American than Bill O’Reilly does.

  • Frekking Awesome!

I prefer to do this in person, you can hardly see the facial expressions in a reply.

    You dont live in the world you think you live in. Here are but a few of the other ‘French’ contributions from Vivendi you might have heard of;

    (Games)
    World of Warcraft
    Guitar Hero
    Call of Duty
    Tony Hawk

    (Movies)
    Shrek
    Madagascar

It should also be noted that THIS BLOG SOFTWARE (wordpress) is running on contributions from a developer(Michel Valdrighi) who is re-desiging his website to be viewable in both English and French, depending on the origin of the user reading it.

So, that leads us right back to the question you have asked? Are you so short on the technical know-how to create a blog, that you have to rely on the contributions of a French-biased developer?

Just curious if your ideas apply to you, or just everyone else?

  • You’ve swapped the vowels in the first two words of the title of your blog. It should be: “Bleck Man for McCain”.

  • Wow. I would be curious to carbon date these worn out ideas. Yes yes, if it wasn’t for the U.S. France might be speaking German but if it weren’t for France the U.S. might be speaking Cherokee. Something to think about.
How do you get from the French to Iran? Do you think they are alike in some way? Why are you mad at the French? Is it because they voted against our little war of choice in Iraq and still eat Freedom Fries? We sure showed them with our unending seven year old war of choice!

  • “This movie looks hilarious! If it’s as good as the trailer, Kevin Farley could become a major star.”

Delusional much? When this movie makes little money (and it will), will you eat your hat? Promise?

  • Wow! That movie “American Carol” looks HORRIBLE! You can’t be serious that you actually think that will be funny? If that movie makes more than $500 on it’s opening weekend, I will put on a wig and you can call me Britney Spears.

  • I can’t wait to see this movie, I saw the previews, it looks hysterical.
I just saw Henry Poole is Here and it was very good.

  • I first read about this movie in the Weekly Standard, and couldn’t stop laughing at the concept. The scene of the ACLU aiding Islamofascist terrorists was priceless!

The trailer is even funnier precisely because liberal Hollywood has been brainwashing Americans to only laugh at conservatives. So, it’s radical and refreshing to have a movie poke fun at the hypocrisy of liberal Hollywood. This ranks up there with cartoonist Aaron McGruder (The Boondocks) ruthlessly skewering such liberal sacred cows as the NAACP, Al Gore, and Bill Clinton (pre-Obama years).

In short, American Carol is a Must See!

  • One more thing. Here are some links about the “Friends of Abe,” a growing organization of conservative actors and filmmakers in Hollywood.
